I can never quite do my Five Minute Fridays on Friday, so here it is on Sunday.
This week’ sword is Tree. Before I get into my post, I’d like to share a few lines from one of my favorite poems.
Trees
By: Joyce Kilmer
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree…
Poems are made by fools like me
But only God can make a tree.
Ready? Go!
Sometime in high school, I fell in love with trees. Each one has so much beauty and character.
The trees manage to withstand so much. They serve purposes. From the tree in the Garden of Eden to my Christmas tree. From a small seed to the wood used to build the Cross.
I find inspiration from them out for walks, but they also remind me of God’s love.
Since the time in high school when I really started liking trees, I cannot manage to look at one without thinking of my Creator and what He is doing in me.
As He said in Isaiah 55:13
“Instead of a thornbush will grow the Juniper
And instead of the briars, the myrtle will grow…”
Just like in the trees, He is growing us. He has a plan for us. And just like the trees, we who are in his family are “an everlasting sign that will endure…”
